A Perth mother sent flowers to the scammers who tricked her out of $50,000. The woman thought she had won $130,000 from a scratchie sent to her home address allegedly by a Malaysian tourist company.
Commissioner for Consumer Protection Anne Driscoll:
In return for getting this final payment into her account she was under the impression she needed to make these additional payments for certificates, for releases and for taxes.
